Dave holds a Master of Divinity (‘94) and a Master of Arts in Counseling (‘96) from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Dave also has extensive training in the area of biblical peacemaking and does mediation work in the areas of marriage, family, churches, and ministries in conflict. One of Dave’s gifts and passions is to help individuals gain life changing insight to their situation and life through God’s timeless and relevant Word, considering their life from a fresh perspective.
Dave has been in practice since 1996 and works with many issues such as, depression, stress and anxiety, anger, spiritual issues, identity issues, relationship issues, addictions, grief, and life transition issues. Dave also does extensive work with marriage counseling and has a heart for reconciling, healing, and restoring marriages and families in conflict. Dave also specializes in working with pastors and ministry workers who are experiencing stress, burnout, and ministry transition issues. Dave’s approach is to graciously meet people where they are, seek to genuinely understand their situation and world, and help them make positive and foundational life changes, all from a God-centered perspective. Dave has developed many classes on biblically based topics such as contentment, marriage, relationships, and biblical peacemaking.
Dave is married and has two adult children. He enjoys music, reading, playing ice hockey, fishing, camping, traveling, and playing his guitar.
